Painting, Tilework, Doors

It's been another busy week at 4000 Logmill Road.  Progress is steady.

Most of the external and internal doors have been installed. The tile work is underway. The exterior electrical cable is going in.

We're excited bout our wide sliding glass door in the basement. It should let in a decent amount of light.

Each time I visit - usually on bicycle now since the weather has improved, there's something new to see, but you have to look carefully. Once again, it's amazing how many details need to be addressed, all in sequence. I see the Construction Manager, George Leon periodically - either at our site or others. He's got a great way of giving everyone a feeling of confidence that he cares about the quality of the product and about each individual. He always makes time to explain or share. This is sooooo appreciated. We always leave smiling when we run into George.

Overall I think DR Horton is doing a great job on the home and we cannot wait to move in. It's always about the people. So far I have nothing but great things to say about the Horton team (led by George) and the contractors for all the different tasks - who are always friendly and welcoming when we visit. Add it all together and it's an impressive operation.

Nice bright doorway! Thank you to Rich and George!

Bathroom Tile - notice that it goes to the ceiling!

Glad to see a LiftMaster.

Master Bath taking shape.

On the outside, they are installing the electrical cable and starting on the siding!

Look hard and you can see the cable in there.

No short way to go. Looks like the house is sliding down a sink hole!

Here's the end of the cable. I guess this covers both Electric and Internet since there's only one cable.

So starts the siding. We'll be covered in no time.

Our house is white white and white. Now that St. Patricks' Day is past, it's goodbye green!

Still no bites on selling our existing home. Got to trust the process but it's stressful! If I had it to do over I'd have placed the house on the market sooner. It's just not worth the stress.
